Using a band,  tried to create an image of musicians in the style of Bailey.
Most photographs of musicians seemed like portraits and close ups of their faces, not much expression shown as it was seen in what the musicians were wearing or how their hair and make up was styled.

Here are some of my own attempts to create images similarly to Bailey's technique and style.
The images were to symbolize references from the film 'Factory Girl' which again was set in the 60's.

Some of Bailey's photographs from the 1960 - 70's. He worked with Vogue and fashion, but was also well known for photographing musicians.
The images are clearly black and white, however the contrasts between the black and white is very strong.

Young Ideas Go West

When the original David Bailey met the actor playing him (Aneurin Banard), he quoted
"At least they got someone good-looking, we'll have to see about the accent though''
Damn Right they did!!! Tall, dark handsome man with a camera... Mmm

Legs, scarves, leather, fur, colour blocking, turtle necks, neat hair, black and white...
I'm getting giddy!

We'll Take Manhattan

Cant wait for this!!!
Aneurin Banard is the actor playing the younger version of Bailey the legendary photographer for the new BBC drama We'll take Manhattan.

Its a remake of the passionate and artistic love story between Bailey and Jean Shrimpton (a model) in the 1960's.
Bailey and Shrimpton meet during a shoot and passion is seen from that moment. They are sent to New York for a fashion shoot for Vogue, this being their first project together.

Jean is played by Karen Gillian recently seen in Doctor Who and Bailey, the yummy Aneurin Banard, was last seen in the Musical Spring awakening.

First blog, first post.. you deserve and introduction!

Hello, My name is Victoria.
I am a student that attends the University of Central Lancashire studying Fashion brand management. I'm half Malaysian and half English, love food, my cat, the gym and stupid looking and random things.
Yes, I am easily entertained by the smallest things...

I like to think I have all the money in the world and plan things that will probably never happen, but a girl can only dream. I enjoy living life with no money, its more interesting and I could definitely prove that!

My imagination is massive, so a blog would be a good way to jot it all down!
